Terms & acceptable use

These terms govern your use of the adept platform at manage.adept-platforms.com ("the Service"), provided by Adept Training Platforms Ltd ("we", "us"). By signing in and accepting these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

  • The Service is invite-only - accounts are overseen by a Training Programme Director or administrator. You may not create an account by any other means.
  • You must use the account assigned to you, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and not share access with anyone else.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access, or attempt to access, data or areas you are not authorised to use;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, harm or impersonate others;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe, reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent the security of the Service;
  • introduce malware or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the underlying systems;
  • extract or re-use trainee personal data other than for legitimate training-administration purposes within your role.

3. Confidentiality & data protection

The Service contains personal data about NHS training staff. You must keep it confidential and handle it only for proper training-administration purposes and in line with your organisation's information-governance policies. Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy notice. The Service does not hold patient data.

4. Your responsibilities for accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. Where you act as a programme director or administrator, you are responsible for managing trainee records appropriately and lawfully.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but provide it "as is" and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove your access if you breach these terms or where necessary to protect the Service or its data. Your organisation may also remove your access.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software and content are owned by Adept Training Platforms Ltd or its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. You retain rights in the data your organisation enters, as set out in your agreement with us.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your misuse of the Service or from inaccurate data you enter. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date shows the current version. If we make material changes, you may be asked to accept the updated terms before continuing to use the Service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
